JC Rowan is a passionate children’s author and entrepreneur with over two decades of experience supporting youth and neglected children as a teacher, missionary, and caregiver. Her journey has taken her from impactful mission work in Luzira, Uganda, to the joyful chaos of motherhood.
In 2012, after escaping domestic violence with her son, JC turned her pain into purpose. Guided by faith, she found strength and healing through storytelling. Her triumph over trauma and her deep love for children inspired WHEN THE GREENWOOD CALLS—a story born from resilience, hope, and the belief that even in the darkest hour, light can be found.
​Now living in Minnesota with her husband, two energetic boys, and three dogs, this southern belle has learned to embrace cold winters with layers, laughter, and cozy fireside cuddles. Written from the heart to address sensitive topics through a message of hope and healing, WHEN THE GREENWOOD CALLS resonates deeply with readers of all ages and backgrounds.
